The focus of the study is on artists’ publications from the 1950s to now, but it also ­covers avant-garde books and magazines of the late 19th and early 20th century. Johan Pas lectures on modern art and on artists’ publications at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp. He is the author of books about contemporary art and artists’ publications, a curator and a collector. He recently founded the Collection for Research on Artists’ Publications.
